A Night of Music, Photography, and Positivity
NYC PR/Social Media Firm & Photographer Team Up For Youth Benefit
New York, NY, February 10th – As The Music Plays, a NYC-based music publicity & social media marketing firm, and J.T. Liss Photography for Social Change have come together to present Music Positive: a benefit show geared towards raising awareness for arts education non-profit Bridging Education & Art Together (B.E.A.T).  The show will feature musical performances by Palomino, The Rose West, and The Glorious Veins.
In addition to musical guests, Music Positive will also feature a prize raffle; for an additional donation, attendees will have the opportunity to win prize packs from ATMP and J.T. Liss, as well as Patronage, a clothing line dedicated to electronic dance music, We Are The Kids, an online community for aspiring music industry professionals, and more. “We really want to make this something special. For us, it’s about more than music; it’s an opportunity to do something for a great cause and we want to get as many people involved as possible,” said Robin Jennings, co-founder of As The Music Plays.  That sentiment is echoed by J.T. Liss, founder and owner of J.T. Liss Photography for Social Change,   “My hope for this event is to raise needed funds and awareness for B.E.A.T., while also getting the talented musicians – who have generously donated their gifts – added exposure in an evening filled with positivity, music, and change.”
The show will take place on Wednesday, March 28th, 2012 at 7pm at Alphabet Lounge, located at 104 Avenue C, New York, NY.  Admission is $10 and attendees must be 21 or over to enter.

Spread the word and make them nerd out with you! And when you’re visiting the east coast, it’ll be AWEsome.

Who wants some carnival-rock?? Listen to “Feria Cinerum” by the Rose West!

Click through and listen to The Rose West’s debut single (and look at the pretty album art I made for them)!! I’ve been talking about these guys on and off for some time now. Well, now you get to actually listen to them! Fans of bands like Coheed and Cambria, the Dear Hunter, and 3 will very likely enjoy this.
And for people in/who can get to the NYC area, they have a regular show at The Way Station, every last Sunday of the month.

Song Shop Commissions!

therosewest:

So I am now officially taking song commissions. Consider the song shop officially open!

Here’s the pricing scheme:

Write you a short song about whatever I like: $25
Write you a short song about whatever you want: $50
Write you a full length song about whatever I like: $75
Write you a full length song about whatever you want: $100

All songs come with a free live performance of your song either for you and your friends at home or at a TRW show.

We’ll record the performance and it’ll be yours to keep.

For an extra $50 I’ll track the song on my home studio, mix it, master it and send it to you.

If you happen to have an extra $600 kicking around, add that to the price and we’ll go record the song in a professional studio and you’ll have an amazing full band rendition of the song.

Also keep in mind I’m willing to write in literally any style you like, but I am mostly a vocalist/guitarist so some things will fit some price models better than others. Also, I’m pretty sure I’d make an awful hardcore rapper, so just keep that in mind.

Rob is fantastic at improvisation, so do test his capabilities! He will deliver such treasures.
