Liss Photography for Social Change have come together to present Music Positive: a benefit show geared towards raising awareness for arts education non-profit Bridging Education & Art Together (B.E.A.T). The show will feature musical performances by Palomino, The Rose West, and The Glorious Veins.

That sentiment is echoed by J.T. Liss, founder and owner of J.T. Liss Photography for Social Change, “My hope for this event is to raise needed funds and awareness for B.E.A.T., while also getting the talented musicians – who have generously donated their gifts – added exposure in an evening filled with positivity, music, and change.”
The show will take place on Wednesday, March 28th, 2012 at 7pm at Alphabet Lounge, located at 104 Avenue C, New York, NY. Admission is $10 and attendees must be 21 or over to enter.

Click through to the ATMP site to find out how!
Sweet deal! Y’all should do this. Trust me, I’ve heard it—it’ll be awesome.
Who wants some carnival-rock?? Listen to “Feria Cinerum” by the Rose West!
Click through and listen to The Rose West’s debut single (and look at the pretty album art I made for them)!! I’ve been talking about these guys on and off for some time now. Well, now you get to actually listen to them! Fans of bands like Coheed and Cambria, the Dear Hunter, and 3 will very likely enjoy this.
And for people in/who can get to the NYC area, they have a regular show at The Way Station, every last Sunday of the month.
Help us if you can!
Spread the word!
We can create art and music for you in return! Please see this post for the list of Apartment Jones members and our creations. Every little bit helps! <3
So, this weekend has been full of suck.
Worst weekend in a long time.
We’re moving into this new place, but the building hasn’t finished it yet so that is awful.
But more so see this guy?
This is Robare. He is my best friend ever and the front man for The Rose West. Ever since I moved to New York City I have lived with him. And it is because he lives down here that I moved in the first place. He is the best person I know.
He’s selflessly helped all of Apartment Jones (the creative collective that is the six people I live with) and now we all need help.
Because of a very long series of very crap circumstances, he’s been scammed out of a lot of money. Part of that money was going towards a deposit and two months rent towards the unfinished apartment we’re trying to live in now.
We’re in dire straights and need $6,000 by the end of the month.
And what does any of this whining have to do with you, dear reader? Because we’re all creative people and we’re selling stuff!
My delightful lady T (her tumblr and gallery) and I (more of my stuff here) are opening commissions (I’m opening for masks, drawings, prop weapons, and sculpture commission), Robare is going to be doing song commissions, and can be contacted through The Rose West site.
Check it, they have a song up on reverbnation and it is dang good.
I don’t know, we’re in rather rough waters and anything that can come our way is helpful. And if nothing else, please please please reblog so we can get the word out.
Please?
EDIT: T and I are also selling original arts and those will go up in another post once the scanner moves to the new apartment!
EDIT THE SECOND: For more info you can drop word in either my ask box or via twitter: of_many_masks
Help the Rose West make it to the finish line for their debut album!
I can attest to how excellent these guys are. Their album is almost done, but they need a little extra help to finalize and release it on time. Check them out on ReverbNation to get a taste of their lovely sound flavors! If you enjoy bands like the Dear Hunter, 3, and Coheed and Cambria, you’ll dig the Rose West too.
Also be sure to follow them on Facebook, Twitter, and their official website.
Thanks and please share/reblog/tweet the support!
Fun fact: The above compass design is my own work. Speaking of art, take a look at the map that N. Tep Enterprises has been working on for our dear bards.
