We had our Halloween party on the 5th. It was so awesome. Robare and I dressed up in Homestuck. You might recognize him from NYCC (I didn’t go). Thank you, Babs, for the photo!
It was a long day!
Got up early to head back to the old apartment to pack more stuff into the car. Then in Midtown for work. Then back up to the old apartment again to clean, pack, and take what I can carry on the subway. Lots of walking in between. Finally got home. Chill First Floor Smoker Dude said something on the steps, but I thought he was talking to whomever was sitting with him. When he asked if I’m ignoring him, I burst in to apologies and say hello and “No, I wasn’t ignoring you, just zoning out. It’s been a long day, haha.” He kinda reminds me of an old Oneonta RA buddy of mine…
And yay! E is home! I got back about an hour ago, and there was no one else here. That is very weird when it is an apartment of six people. o_o
E GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER!
Alright, gang, here’s the scoop!
Apartment Jones is still trying to recoup its scammed away funds and here’s what I have to offer!
DRAWINGS:
- $20 you get a black and white shaded character drawing, it can be digital or traditional and any size, just let me know!
- $35 for a flat color character drawing, same deal, traditional, digital, whatever, just let me know and I’ll slap pen to paper (or tablet)
- $50 is a full on shaded and colored character sketch with background and everything! Your friends and family will marvel at it. MARVEL.
SCULPTURE:
- Anywhere from $20-$75 will get you a one of a kind monster up to six inches tall (or long), painted and lovingly given a humorous, horrifying, strange, or twisted back-story. For example, the Mandelbrot (without jar) is in the $60 range.
- You’ve always wanted an irresponsibly giant replica weapon, right? OF COURSE YOU HAVE YOU’RE ON THE INTERNET. Well guess what? I WILL FREAKING MAKE IT FOR YOU. Prices vary on the size and complexity, but expect the minimum to be $250 for a CUSTOM HAND MADE GIANT PROP WEAPON WITH WHICH TO STRIKE FEAR INTO THE HEARTS OF YOUR ENEMIES. For example The Separator (based off Double Fine’s Brutal Legend) I constructed for Comic-con last year. That was $400 and about three months of (mostly) weekend working.
- For a measly $5 you can get a Bad Luck! Small, silly, cute, they help ward off bad fortune because misfortune can’t strike if you know where it is. They can be any color you like (please specify).
- I will also make custom masks! Those will be starting at $45 for latex, depending on complexity.
- For $12 I can make very simple gypsum bandage masks and will put custom designs on them.
- For $60 I will make you a ONE OF A KIND mask.
- And last, but not least, CARVED STONE. This will start at $150 and depending on stone type and size will go up, and take a long time to carve. I’ll carve it into whatever you want or you can let the stone speak (as my design instructor told us) and just get a sweet, abstract, carved stone. Check out my lovely example!
I ALSO HAVE SOME ONE OF A KIND ITEMS FOR SALE.

- The Hand of Hope and the Hand of Doom.
The hands of Hope and Doom come in a sealed metal case with cloth padding, wrappings, and runic text from the discoverers trying to figure out what they are. Like I said, this one is one of a kind legit E. Silva sculpture (which means nerdy and all about narrative and world building).
I’m not sure how I can make it work but if you’re in NYC and need someone to do special effects type make-up, I’m for rent for events like zombie-walks and…zombie walks…

Song Shop Commissions!
So I am now officially taking song commissions. Consider the song shop officially open!
Here’s the pricing scheme:
Write you a short song about whatever I like: $25
Write you a short song about whatever you want: $50
Write you a full length song about whatever I like: $75
Write you a full length song about whatever you want: $100
All songs come with a free live performance of your song either for you and your friends at home or at a TRW show.
We’ll record the performance and it’ll be yours to keep.
For an extra $50 I’ll track the song on my home studio, mix it, master it and send it to you.
If you happen to have an extra $600 kicking around, add that to the price and we’ll go record the song in a professional studio and you’ll have an amazing full band rendition of the song.
Also keep in mind I’m willing to write in literally any style you like, but I am mostly a vocalist/guitarist so some things will fit some price models better than others. Also, I’m pretty sure I’d make an awful hardcore rapper, so just keep that in mind.
Rob is fantastic at improvisation, so do test his capabilities! He will deliver such treasures.

Stuff is slowly coming together at the apartment, but it would be nice if the construction crew would tell when they are done for the day. I’ve been apartment-bound for the past few days, and they’re still not done yet.
New apartment woes.
Life is looking hopeful, but things are still complicated and hectic in the meanwhile. I referred to apartment troubles but didn’t go into detail. Well. Let me start from the beginning.
SOS
So, this weekend has been full of suck.
Worst weekend in a long time.
We’re moving into this new place, but the building hasn’t finished it yet so that is awful.
But more so see this guy?
This is Robare. He is my best friend ever and the front man for The Rose West. Ever since I moved to New York City I have lived with him. And it is because he lives down here that I moved in the first place. He is the best person I know.
He’s selflessly helped all of Apartment Jones (the creative collective that is the six people I live with) and now we all need help.
Because of a very long series of very crap circumstances, he’s been scammed out of a lot of money. Part of that money was going towards a deposit and two months rent towards the unfinished apartment we’re trying to live in now.
We’re in dire straights and need $6,000 by the end of the month.
And what does any of this whining have to do with you, dear reader? Because we’re all creative people and we’re selling stuff!
My delightful lady T (her tumblr and gallery) and I (more of my stuff here) are opening commissions (I’m opening for masks, drawings, prop weapons, and sculpture commission), Robare is going to be doing song commissions, and can be contacted through The Rose West site.
Check it, they have a song up on reverbnation and it is dang good.
I don’t know, we’re in rather rough waters and anything that can come our way is helpful. And if nothing else, please please please reblog so we can get the word out.

This has been a really bad weekend.
Apartment complications aside, things have been pretty awful.
I’ll not go into details, but basically my roommates and I need to gather a lot of money we don’t have by the end of the month. So we need any and all help! In the next day or two I should have a link for a donation thing.
We are Apartment Jones—we are a collective of artists and musicians in NYC with a range of talents and tastes. We are offering to make art and home recorded songs in exchange for financial help. This is really serious, as we are strapped for cash as it is, so if you all can at least spread awareness, and I’ll post a link for receiving donations as soon as possible.
